Kayaking in the Mangroves

Enjoy a walk through our unique and exotic palm tree garden; relax in the shade of 900 palms which include the Date Alexander, the Butterfly and Fan palms. See our unique collection of exotic birds kept in a purpose built aviary. Along the Garden path you will hear both the music of the islands and the song of local Birds that nest along the garden paths.

At the Fantasy Pyramid Park see the three kings as a tribute to the protection Antigua has received from above. Through many hurricanes Antigua has weathered we have been blessed with little loss of life and only material damage. We have preserved the relics.

On the Reef

The Boardwalk spans 300 ft over lagoon water and ends at the Lecture Theatre where you are more than likely to be entertained by fish and crab antics.

On your way to the Lagoon Boardwalk there will are facilities available to change comfortably into beach wear or anything appropriate for the kayaks and the snorkel tour.

The lagoon is the only one of its kind on Antigua and is home to five watercourses and five mangrove tunnels. The breathtaking natural beauty of mangroves must be experienced to be believed.

From here you will be guided on watercraft through the mangrove channels to our secluded beach facilities. The Mangroves are pristine ecological gems where young fish reach maturity to live among the great barrier reefs surrounding Antigua. The importance of these nurseries can not be stressed enough!

At the end of this lagoon lies nature’s most secluded white sand beach positioned between the lagoon and Goat Head Hill, and protected by Cades Reef. From here you can be taken for fantastic snorkelling on Cades reef a mere five minute boat ride or remain on shore and soak up the Caribbean rays and enjoy lunch and refreshments while being tended to by wonderful South Coast Horizons Guides, From here there are also trails to the top of Goat Head Hill with amazing views, and a near half mile boardwalk through thick mangrove forest. Restroom Facilities are also available on the beach.
